30 YEARS OF EMPTY PROMISES IS ENOUGH

THE TIME FOR ACTION IS NOW
I support the completion of the Highway 101 section between Digby and Weymouth, commonly known as the Bypass. The uncompleted section runs from Digby to Weymouth. It is essential for the government to honor its decades-old promise to complete the highway from Bedford to Yarmouth.
Renaming Trunk 1 Highway to “Highway 101” was not a completion of the highway; it was an insult to the residents who live along it and the travellers through it. This action demonstrated a lack of concern for the quality of life and safety of residents and travelers between Yarmouth and Halifax.
I consider this highway unsafe for all travelers and residents in this area. Our government has a duty of care to ensure the safety of those living there and of travelers using this dangerous section of the highway.
I urge for this project to be fast-tracked, and I demand a statement from our government indicating their intention to complete the highway. It should be included in their written plans without delay.
